In a bus connecting to Christchurch we were compelled to stay here two days. 24-25 March, Wellington. Not impressed left Auckland and rode to Wellington. This town looks much better than the former one and the people seem to be of a kinder sort and milder behaviour. Made several walks up and down the city. Saw Treaty of Waitangi. 21-23 March, New Zealand. Landed in Auckland in New Zealand. Custom officers at the airport are by far the rudest public servants I have ever come across with. Even allowing for chilean or Argentinean standards they must be considered as rude. I even think rudeness is a weak expression to describe their attitude to the tourists. The less one deals with them the better. The same day met with Agnieszka who arrived here from Queensland, Australia. We stayed in Auckland for a couple days. The town itself is neither very interesting nor pretty one. A motto of this city "Auckland- city of sails" has been coined to promote it and target specific sort of tourist but I
